Our rugged polymer supports are easy to use and are designed for athletes, firearms trainers, shooting ranges, law enforcement, military and competition.
Because the price was too high, almost no orders were placed. The final decision is based on weight and simplicity of setup. All the others are metal, and there are some clamping screws to fix the wood strip. This model can carry targets of various sizes. Just push 1x2 tops into the base without adjusting screws. The only drawback is the price, but I strongly recommend this product.
We have a pile of heavy steel targets. This booth is easy to get 1x2, insert it and nail the target on it. The only problem is that in the wind, 1x2s there is no support for the target, so you have to fix cardboard or some kind of beam on the top. I bought two 1-inch x2-inch x8-inch clothes at home depot for $1.25, cut them two feet, fastened them with Velcro and made a portable beam. Some people complain that the price is too high. I understand why. Then, people spent more than $30 on a small uplula magaine loader made of plastic. It's worth it to me.
I gave it a low score for its value, because in my opinion, it's like the high price of a piece of molded plastic. But I must admit that it is a solid material with good structure and design, so I think it is worth it. So far, I've only used it once, but it's easy to transport in the trunk of my car. Once I reach the shooting range, it's easy to assemble. The range targets around here have a minimum height of 40 inches and a maximum height of 60 inches. I can cut boards (I bought 8 feet long) to 5 feet 60 inches, and some to 4 feet (48 inches). I marked the 40 inch point to place the target and keep it within the required range. They are light and strong, so it is very easy to fix the target in the assembly area and send it out when the shooting range is "cold". I'll buy another one when I get the money. That's how much I like them.
Very good idea, so easy to set up and use. Will apply to all target sizes we use. Highly recommended!
This is a great product! Don't be intimidated by a few negative comments. I have my general goal setting, but I want something I can easily move. It's light, but the base is wide enough to keep it stable. There are also 5 holes in the base. You can hammer some tent nails if necessary. You do need to buy 1x2s, but the instructions clearly state this. I have one. Cut it in half. It works well. At first I was nailing the target, but I bought four clips instead. One of the complaints I read is that you need to buy spare 1x2 because you eat them when shooting. I use a 12x18 target. When I start shooting 1x2 instead of the target, I need to sell my gun and finish it.
After careful consideration and careful construction. All the hardware is included and everything is suitable. I used two 1 inch x2 inch X8 foot fir strips: 1) I cut the column in half (48 inches), 2) I cut the spare column and two 24 inch cross supports into 48 inches. The cross brace is made by inserting 1 / 4 "x 3" steel hanger bolts into the column and drilling holes on the cross brace. The cross brace is secured by a 1 / 4 "wing nut. The modification creates a more rigid target mounting structure and more positions for fixing the target. Wooden parts are cheap and easy to replace when the inevitable bullet hits.
I was impressed by its quality and layout. Good choice. I'm glad.
